Managing Director, Head of California Education Group

Randy Merritt is a managing director and head of the California Education Group based in San Clemente, California. Since 2000, he has been involved in more than 300 financings totaling more than $8 billion for school districts, community college districts, cities, counties and special districts. This experience includes the issuance of general obligation bonds, certificates of participation/lease revenue bonds, land-secured bonds, and tax and revenue anticipation notes. Randy is a member of the California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO), California School Boards Association (CSBA) and the Coalition for Adequate School Housing (CASH). He graduated from California Polytechnic State University with a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology and holds Series 7, 53 and 63 licenses.
